Whirlwind’s support gave students of the Royal National College for the Blind two brilliant days of outdoor adventure at the University of Worcester’s Lakeside Campus. During their first visit, students took to the water for kayaking and stand-up
paddleboarding. The second began with an invigorating open-water swimming session, followed by the climbing wall and Leap of Faith tower.
Students threw themselves into every challenge, encouraging one another, trying unfamiliar activities, and showing tremendous courage and determination. It was wonderful to see their confidence, resilience, and independence grow across the two visits. Whirlwind’s funding meant students could take part without cost, removing financial barriers and giving them opportunities to discover just how much they can achieve.
